Why Trill Fitness

It’s pretty simple, we are a small team of fitness professionals here to assist you- really! You have access to both fitness and exercise professionals and diet and nutrition experts all at one stop. If that wasn’t enough, we actually, personally do care about people, about their health and their well being. Over the years and through our profession we have seen Type 2 diabetics come off medicines, Older Adults regain the ability to function fully, young moms gain energy to care for their children. What joy it brings to know that in some way we have helped change the lifestyle and quality of life for others. They have done the work- we provided the tools! So here we are waiting to help you!

Meet the Team!

Trillia Newbell

Owner

I am a wife, mom and fitness professional. I have been teaching group fitness collectively for six years and in the fitness industry for seven years. I am a Christian and therefore you will find links and references to that which is most important to me- the Lord! I am AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) certified to teach Primary Group Fitness Classes, AAAI/ISMA Personal Trainer, Cycle and Pilates certified; hold five Les Mills certifications (BODYPUMP™, BODYATTACK™, BODYSTEP™, BODYJAM™, AND BODYFLOW™ ) and am a Les Mills BODYPUMP™ Assessor. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I am soon training to become a Les Mills RPM™ Certified Instructor and also an ACE Personal Trainer.

 Muna Rodriguez

Muna’s fitness career started in 2003 when she was a student and in love with step at Bally Total Fitness here in Knoxville!  She took all the step classes offered and some Power Flex and Turbokick!  She had just lost 100 lbs, and really loved her new health and fitness! She started teaching after work at Pilot Corp offices, and then started teaching at Bally’s in May of 2003.  Getting more education and training in Group Fitness began to transform Muna’s life.  Soon after she became certified in Pilates, Power Flex, Yoga, and learned to teach aqua, Kickboxing, and more advanced step routines!  She began to expand to other gyms in her area and started teaching at National Fitness Center in 2004 and the Rush Fitness in 2006.

 Today she is certified in Step, Pilates, Yoga, Personal Training, BODYJAM™, BODYCOMBAT™, Cycling, RPM, and soon to come, BODYPUMP™!  Today she enjoys and running area road races.  Muna has committed six great years to Group Fitness. She wrote, “Over the years, fitness, group fitness to be exact, has always been a positive constant in my ever changing life!” Muna’s enthusiasm and commitment will motivate and encourage you to do great things!

Jennifer Bowers

Jennifer brings 17 years of fitness experience to Trill Fitness! She is AAAI/ISMA Group Exercise certified, Les Mills BODYPUMP™ and BODYSTEP™, TurboKick™, Pilates, First Aid and CPR certified. She has also trained in kickboxing, step, hi/lo, strength training, senior adult exercise, kids fitness, Bosu, Fitball and much more. She is a frequent participant in the Sara City Fitness Conference and Reebox Fitness Fest in Atlanta. Jennifer will be Zumba certified in March. This busy mother of two brings experience and joy!

Nutrition Specialists

Julia Yeager, RD, LDN

Julia has always had an interest in nutrition and health, which led her to become a Registered Dietitian (RD), a food and nutrition expert.  Julia received her B.S. degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Tennessee Technological University and completed her post-graduate dietetic internship at East Tennessee State University.  She is currently finishing her Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition at ETSU and is planning to graduate in December 2010.  Julia has experience working with many different populations and enjoys helping people make individualized, healthy lifestyle changes that will improve their health and quality of life.   Along with being a RD, Julia also stays busy as a wife and mother of a sweet baby boy.
